Medical Services OfferedDepending on the needs and desires of the patient/family there are options to rent the mHBOT equipment or perform therapy in our office.
Regardless of the medical service option, all patients must formally register with Healing Hyperbarics. A Registration Form, Initial Medical History Form E-mail Authorization Form and Consent For Treatment Form must first be completed.
In addition, we ask for that for any patient with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, that an Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist be completed. This form, created by the Autism Research Institute, will provide us with numerical data that can be used to assess how the patient is doing with the therapy.
A complimentary review of the medical history will then take place. If it is deemed appropriate for the patient to receive mHBOT, the patient is then offered the opportunity to come to the office for several hours to receive training and ensure they are comfortable with the equipment. There is a $125 fee for the in-office training. This fee will be applied towards the package price if the patient proceeds with the therapy.
As the equipment is designed for use outside of the medical office, it is not mandatory that the patient receive training before obtaining the equipment. Our medical staff is available to do over-the-phone training as well as ongoing troubleshooting. An instructional DVD will be provided with the equipment.
In order to provide ongoing medical care, the patient/family is required to fill out a Follow-Up Medical History Form every two weeks for the first two months of therapy, regardless of the service option chosen. If a decision is made between the patient/family and the Medical Staff that mHBOT should continue and the patient possesses the equipment after the initial 60 days, a Follow-up Medical History Form must be completed 30 days, 90 days, 120 days, 270 days, and 360 days afterwards. Patients/Families then must submit annual Follow-up Medical History Forms for as long as they continue to use the therapy.
More than one family member can use the mHBOT equipment. For an additional $150 per patient, our Medical Staff will review an Initial Medical History Form, make the appropriate treatment recommendations, review the Follow-up Medical History Forms, and make ongoing recommendations as would be done for a single patient. There is no additional cost for the actual equipment unless additional equipment (such as oxygen masks and tubing) is needed.
